CEO Blog:
I found this blog which is written by the CEO and founder of GoDaddy.com. I thought this was a pretty good blog as far as format and as far as content. The guy who publishes this blog obviously makes a lot of entries, and his writing is easy to read and relate to. He also offers plenty of links for readers to examine in more depth what he is writing about. There was also a good menu on the left side of the screen which was easy to navigate. The link for Bob Parsons blog is: www.bobparsons.com
Corporate Blog:
I looked at Dell's corporate blog, which can be found at: http://direct2dell.com/one2one/default.aspx. This blog resembled many of the corporate blogs we viewed in class, but I did notice that many of the comments on some of the blog entries were not necessarily positive. I felt this was a good aspect because it meant comments were not being screened and people could view real opinions, negative or positive.
Consumers-on-Corporate Blog:
This blog which is basically a watchdog site over several different corporations was pretty interesting. It doesn't cover one specific corporation, but it does provide information about a lot of big name businesses, such as Cingular, Wal-Mart, Pfizer, and so on. I enjoyed looking around this site. There were some really interesting articles (with pictures), although don't expect to find too much positive press here. This is definitely a site which exposes the "darkside" of big corporations. Social Networking Blog:
For my social networking blog I foung a page on myspace.com completely dedicated to Homer Simpson. On this page people can leave comments for Homer, can post messages regarding their favorite Simpsons episodes and guest stars, as well as listen to music posted by Homer, view videos, and view tons of pictures. They can also check out the pages of Homer's friends; many who are also characters on The Simpsons. This page resembles many pages on myspace and serves as a mini-network connecting Simpsons fans to all the characters.
